How do you picture a famous artist’s life to be?

Kelly Brianne Clarkson, a famous song writer and singer began her career when she won American Idol in 2002. She was born on April 24th of 1982 in Burleson, Texas. She received her education from Burleson High School. She was raised in a small town, and then she was off to Hollywood in 2001.

She lived in her car at one point in time, just wanting to live her dream. She's thought about giving up her dream multiple of times, but new that wouldn't solve anything. Her friend Jessica promised to help pay for a demo take. She knew it wasn’t going to be easy but she kept trying. She supported herself tremendously, working odd jobs. She had made a few appearances on television and finally recruited a job as a female vocalist with Gerry Goffin. Until she arrived to her apartment one evening, to unexpectedly find it on fire. She was discouraged and moved back home to Texas.

That’s when her friend told her about American Idol, a new talent search show. She was one of the ten thousand contestants. The judges simply didn’t think she’d make it all the way through. After the brutal eliminations and critical evaluations by the judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson, she proved them wrong and came out to be America’s winner on September 4th 2002. She was awarded with a million dollar RCA record contract. Since she had a contract she knew she was a secure leading rock performer.

She had sold million of records; this put an abundant amount of pressure on her. She had done something new like she wanted; she had co-written her own songs for the record instead of using professional song writers. The resultant of this matter wasn’t very good. It ended with a dispute between her and Clive Davis. He thought it needed work since there wasn’t any singles on the album and that the tone was too negative. She argued that it didn’t need to be changed since it’s a very personal recording.

After the dispute, she found difficulties in her career process. Not only did she fire her manager but canceled a concert tour in summer of 2007. Her My December was released later in the year around June. It had a great turnout in sales but the argument between Davis and her was still around. She had regrets about the whole situation and said she had regretted the argument and that it had “blown way out of proportion.”

Ever since she and Davis had realized the importance of other’s opinions and how it’s important to get along especially for her career he released her new album even when he wasn’t obligated too. He did this out of respect knowing she’d be successful. When you can realize mistakes and can work together the atmosphere around you turns out better and for Clarkson it certainly did. Her album made it to No. 1 in the U.S. selling 225,000 copies that was just in the first week of it being out. She had many difficulties but she overcame everything and went with it. She understood that she needed to face her problems and get over them.
